Hong Kong in 1996 was a city of extremes, from gleaming skyscrapers to semi-wild tropical islands. Much of my visit was accompanied by near-monsoon rains, leaving fewer opportunities for picture-taking (but more time for exploring the food and nightlife). When the weather did break we took the opportunity to visit some of the nearby islands that make up part of Hong Kong along with Kowloon on the mainland and Aberdeen on the south end of the island. |
